The Penny Hill Gastro Pub is the friendliest place in Lucan. Located on one of Dublin’s historic hills in west Dublin suburbia, the field known as The Pennyhill or “Cnoc Phingín” is part of the folklore of the Ballyowen Castle, which stretches back to at least 1558 almost 450 years.
It offers a public bar and lounge that serves great food daily – late bar & live music every weekend!
Louis Fitzgerald has brought back the memories and is ensuring that the conversation, laughter and craic that echoed around the Penny Hill for the last 500 years is going to continue throughout the 21st century. Situated on the Grange Road close to both the N7 and N4. See you soon!
Great food and excellent service - Pennyhill Lucan Met a group of friends for dinner last night. The presentation of food was fabulous as was the quality. Our waitress Ali G was exceptional. She was super friendly, so professional and attentive to our table. She went out of her way to help us. Well done!! We will definitely be back.
Excellent all round ! Decided to pop in today for lunch.
The waiting staff were very friendly and efficient (thank you Mariana, Katie & the chocoholic Marieta lol)
I had the steak (medium) it was cooked to perfection the best steak I have had in a long time. (Thank you Raoul)
Dessert was the American style chocolate cake. One word …..delicious (see pic)
To finish I had a calypso coffee which I couldn’t fault (thank you Shane & chloe)
All in all I thoroughly enjoyed it and will most definitely be back.
Congratulations Donald and Brendan and the girls looked after me very well over the last couple of weeks and I thank them. Stay safe.
Dinner I had never been here before but definitely will go back. The food was beautiful and the staff were great. Very attentive waitress with the green scarf, she was super helpful and very happy. Always nice to see.
A good value Lunch Well. A nice Surprise. Dublin 2020 and a nice lunch special consisting of a Chicken Panini with side salad and chips for under a Tenner!!!
Served well by nice, unfussy, helpful staff.
Basket of oddly cut chips with a reasonably sized flatbread panini with nice filling along with a side salad all on a wooden breadboard.
Been looking for a reasonable lunch venue with a good selection of food.
Found it!! and will be back.
Girlie night Had a lovely girlie night. Food was fab. Asked for my meal to made slimming world friendly and the staff and chef was very accommodating. Maybe you could consider having a slimmers menu as my dinner was delicious so can be done. Big thanks to Alison G for all her help. Had a great night.
