The Penny Hill Gastro Pub is the friendliest place in Lucan. Located on one of Dublin’s historic hills in west Dublin suburbia, the field known as The Pennyhill or “Cnoc Phingín” is part of the folklore of the Ballyowen Castle, which stretches back to at least 1558 almost 450 years.
It offers a public bar and lounge that serves great food daily – late bar & live music every weekend!
Louis Fitzgerald has brought back the memories and is ensuring that the conversation, laughter and craic that echoed around the Penny Hill for the last 500 years is going to continue throughout the 21st century. Situated on the Grange Road close to both the N7 and N4. See you soon!
Mouthwatering food served 7 days. Lunch, early bird and a la carte all available so check out our menus.

Thoroughly enjoyed the visit Excellent "steak on a stone",great staff, very good value,a busy Friday, but high standard maintained. No hesitation recommending The Penny Hill for a good meal at competitive price.
The Penny Hill Was in The Penny Hill for Paddy’s Day. Although the place was extremely busy the service was fab!! We stayed for food and again they did not disappoint. The food was fab, especially their chicken wings. I’ll definitely be returning .
Bustling Just dropped into this place for a quick bite to eat as it's been on my radar for a while..it's was very cold outside so it was a welcome shelter on such a miserable day..the place was nice a warm and a nice smell of food was aminating from the kitchens..not always a good thing but on the day in question it was nice..food was well served and not too pricey and staff were very helpful and attentive..would visit again
